As we increasingly depend on smart devices, fast charging technology becomes a necessity to keep us going. That is why we designed VIVIFY’s ACESO W10 USB 3.2 Gen 2 charging cable to support Quick Charge 3.0. Similar to the functionality test for our HDMI cables, VIVIFY USB-C cables undergo a quality control functionality tests.
Quality Control Functionality Testing
To perform the Quick Charge 3.0 Functionality test, VIVIFY uses a compact professional USB power tester which is connected between a QC supporting smartphone and a charger with the VIVIFY ACESO W10 cable.
For USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type A to C cable, the maximum power achievable is 18W, and for Type C to C, it is 24W. The VIVIFY ACESO W10 cable is tested for the maximum 18W, the highest standard for USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type A to C cables.
Comparison
While many cables claim to support QC 3.0, not all perform the same. VIVIFY did a comparison between the ACESO W10 and another USB 3.2 charging cable:
Both cables can support up to 18W, but the ACESO W10 keeps higher power during the 61%~100% phase of the battery charging process, making the charging time 1.7 times faster than other brands.
*Note 1: The fast charge technology works only when your device, charging cable, and charger all support fast charge technology.
*Note 2: There are different fast-charge technologies. For example, Qualcomm Quick Charge, USB power delivery, Super VOOC...etc. Different devices, cables, and chargers will support different specs. Make sure to double-check the charging spec before you purchase them.
*Note 3: Volt(V) multiplied by Amp(A) equals Power (W)
